Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 27: The delegation comprised Mrs. Swaminath Jaiswal, National President, INTUC (F); Dr. Rajesh Garhia, National Senior Vice President, INTUC (F); Mrs. TSG Bhasker, National Vice President, INTUC (F); Mrs. K.P Usman, State President INTUC (F), Mrs. P. Kannan, General Secretary, INTUC Federation; Mrs. Akbar and Mrs. Sheshu of DSS Dockyard Employees Union.
The delegation discussed several important issues, including the appointment of a Forest Welfare Officer, filling up vacant posts, conducting regular health camps for workers, providing modern safety equipment, timely filling of promotional posts through direct recruitment, settlement of pending OT allowances and LTC claims, and proper maintenance of vessels.
The Director of Shipping Services agreed to the points raised by the delegation. He also immediately directed the concerned officials to take necessary action and comply with the demands.
