Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 16: In recognition of the efforts of the Member of Parliament Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray in securing an enhancement in the monthly honorarium of ASHA workers from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 5,000, with effect from April 2026, the District Administration will organise a felicitation and interaction programme tomorrow.
The programme will be held at 11 a.m. at the Conference Hall of the Disaster Management, A&N Administration, and will bring together the MP and ASHA workers. As part of the programme, enhanced ASHA honorarium and arrears will also be symbolically released, with the ceremonial cheque board being presented to an ASHA worker by MP Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray.
