Sri Vijaya Puram, July 30: Mr. TSG Bhasker, Chairman, Campaign Committee, ANTCC, has urged the Andaman & Nicobar Administration to grant a one-time relaxation in the upper age limit for candidates appearing in the Combined Matric Level Examination and Combined Higher Secondary Level Examination.
In a representation addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Bhasker welcomed the Administration’s decision to extend the last date for submission of applications for the recruitment examinations. He stated that the extension has provided much-needed relief to thousands of aspiring candidates and reflects the Administration’s commitment to ensuring wider participation in the recruitment process.
However, Mr. Bhasker pointed out that while the application deadline has been extended, the prescribed upper age limit has remained unchanged. As a result, several deserving candidates who were at the borderline of age limit during the extended application period have become ineligible.
Mr. Bhasker appealed to the Administration to extend the upper age limit in line with the revised application deadline. He stated that such a decision would ensure that eligible youth are not deprived of employment opportunities.
