
Sri Vijaya Puram, June 3: The North & Middle Andaman Zilla Parishad held its General Body Meeting on Tuesday, during which various developmental issues, including sports promotion, tourism development and the expeditious execution of ongoing projects, were discussed in detail.
Speaking after the meeting, N&M Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh Mr. R. Alager Swami said the meeting was conducted successfully with active participation and coordination from Chief Executive Officer Shri Krishna Chaitanya, the Upadhyaksha, Zilla Parishad Members, officials of the Engineering Wing and other staff members.
Mr. Alager Swami stated that the Zilla Parishad is committed to ensuring that developmental works across North and Middle Andaman are carried out in a more effective and time-bound manner. He said the meeting provided an opportunity to review various issues and gather inputs from elected representatives and officials for improving the pace of development activities.
He noted that sports and tourism emerged as key areas of discussion during the meeting. According to him, efforts will be made to encourage sports-related activities in every Zilla Parishad constituency and provide greater opportunities for local youth to participate in sporting events.
The Adhyaksh further said that the Parishad also reviewed pending and ongoing works in different areas and emphasized the need to accelerate their implementation. He assured that all development projects would be taken up on priority and monitored closely to ensure timely completion.
Expressing satisfaction over the outcome of the meeting, Mr. Alager Swami thanked all members, officers and staff for their cooperation and collective efforts. He said the coordinated approach adopted by the Zilla Parishad team would help strengthen developmental initiatives and improve public services across North and Middle Andaman.
