Rangat, Apr 26: A growing public concern has emerged in the main vegetable market area of Rangat, particularly around the Hanuman Temple surroundings and nearby commercial establishments. With an estimated daily footfall of 1,000 to 2,000 people visiting the market for purchasing vegetables and attending official work, the absence of basic sanitation facilities—especially Public Urinal—has become a serious issue.
Local shopkeepers and residents have expressed difficulties due to the lack of public urinal facilities. At present, many individuals are forced to relieve themselves in open areas, particularly near the old boys’ hostel premises. This has led to unhygienic conditions and foul smell, creating discomfort for shop owners, customers, and especially women visiting the nearby vegetable market.
The situation is expected to worsen in the coming days with the development of a new children’s park at Dhallikhadi Colony. During evening hours, a significant increase in visitors, including families and children, is anticipated. The absence of proper sanitation facilities in such a high-footfall zone may lead to further inconvenience and health concerns.
Residents have urged the Rangat Panchayat and local administration to take immediate action by constructing proper Pubic Urinal in the identified areas. They emphasized that ensuring basic sanitation infrastructure is essential for maintaining cleanliness, public health, and dignity in a busy public space.
The public now awaits a prompt response from the authorities to address this urgent civic issue.
