On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the teaching fraternity of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. I also pay my respectful tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, eminent teacher, philosopher and former President of India, whose life and ideals continue to inspire generations.
Education is the foundation of a progressive, enlightened and knowledge-driven society. As India advances towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, teachers have a vital responsibility in nurturing young minds and shaping knowledgeable, skilled, responsible and compassionate citizens, firmly rooted in our values and cultural heritage.
I commend the dedication and commitment of our teachers in the Islands, who continue to serve with distinction despite geographical and logistical challenges. Through their tireless efforts, they are fostering curiosity, critical thinking, discipline, integrity and a spirit of service among our youth.
I appreciate their contribution towards advancing the objectives of NEP 2020 and NCF 2023 and preparing our young generation to meet the challenges and opportunities of a rapidly changing world.
I once again extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all teachers. May they continue to ignite young minds, inspire aspirations and nurture character, empowering our youth to contribute meaningfully towards building a strong, prosperous and Viksit Bharat.
