Durga Puja celebrates the victory of Goddess Durga over Mahishasura, signifying the triumph of divine strength and righteousness over evil and injustice. Dussehra, celebrated alongside, commemorates Lord Rama’s victory over Ravana, reaffirming the eternal truth that goodness, virtue, and moral courage always prevail over darkness and wrongdoing.
These festivals carry profound spiritual meaning and remind us of the timeless values of faith, resilience, and harmony. They inspire us, as Islanders, to strengthen unity, foster compassion, and uphold the principles of justice and truth in our daily lives.
May the blessings of Goddess Durga bring strength, wisdom, prosperity to every home. May the spirit of Dussehra guide us on the path of righteousness and inspire us to build a society rooted in peace, brotherhood, and mutual respect.
