Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 07: Mr. Angshuman Roy, State Youth President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, has made an urgent appeal to the Lt. Governor of the Union Territory, requesting immediate relief and compensation for the families affected by a devastating fire incident that occurred on August 6, 2025, in the Dairy Farm area of Port Blair.
According to reports, the fire destroyed five households and tragically claimed the life of one woman. The incident has left several families homeless, with all their belongings lost in the blaze.
In a formal communication addressed to the Lt. Governor, Roy has requested immediate financial compensation for the affected families and ex-gratia relief to the bereaved family of the deceased woman, in accordance with the norms of the UT Administration and the LG Relief Fund.
He also emphasized the urgent need for temporary rehabilitation support, including food, clothing, and medical assistance, to help the victims through this traumatic period.
Hindu Rashtra Shakti continues to stand with the victims and is committed to supporting relief efforts in coordination with local authorities.
