
Port Blair, Aug 27: Pankh Andaman NGO organised a 2 Day workshop on self defence and physical strength (Power in Protection) for all against the ongoing inhumanity odds in the society. The workshop was organised at Ayush Hospital for their professionals and at joggers park which was open to all where people from various sectors could join in for the worksop. The workshop was honoured by the Director of social welfare Dr. Nitin Shakhya where he shared how Pankh has been working as an NGO for the upliftment of the society and how mentally we can keep ourselves strong to fight against the inhumity. This program will be organised by Pankh NGO often to continuously educate people around. The program was also honoured by Swami Shudhanad Chinmaya Mission, Dr Kalyan Pandurang Khadban (Deputy Director Ayush), Manobika Dutta (Medical officer incharge homeopathy) . The team of RLSS(Rashtriya life Saving Society) played a major role in the workshop for demonstrating the tactics that should be used at the time of emergency or trouble, Pooja Biswas (zumba and fitness expert) also shared her experiences and shared how to keep ourselves fit on a day to day basis. Pankh NGO also organised a screening of a documentary movie to educate people about self defence and awareness about sexual harassment. Founder president Pankh NGO Mrs. Komal Anand welcomed the guests and the workshop was hosted by General Secretary Pankh Andaman NGO Geeta Naveen Bhatt and other members of the Pankh NGO were also present.
