Port Blair, Feb 15: The Revenue Department under Ferrargunj Tehsil have removed unauthorized constructions over government/ common lands under Revenue Inspectors circle 1 with the help provided by the Station House Officer, Bambooflat. At Shoal Bay village 15 huts along with unauthorized plantation with fencing comprising total area of 5.5 hectares of government lands have been cleared from Shoal Bay village. After the completion of eviction drive, the area falling under Common Government lands shall be handed over to the area Pradhan, Gram Panchayat.
Removal of encroachers from encroaching government lands is the duty of area Revenue staff. The respective area Pradhans and general public are requested to render cooperation to the area Revenue staffs during eviction of encroachers from Government/Common lands under Ferrargunj Tehsil, a communication received from the Tehsildar, Ferrargunj said here.
