Port Blair, Mar 03: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Andaman and Nicobar Islands conducted a protest at Gandhi Statue, Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair. The protest was conducted under the able leadership of Mr. Siddhanth Rai Sharma, Secretary, and ABVP Port Blair. The demand of the protest was to take necessary action against the culprits of sandeshkhali namely Shaikh Shahjahan, regional leader of TMC at sandeshkhali and other three guilty. ABVP also condemned the negligent behaviour of TMC government of West Bengal headed by Mamta Banerjee.
During the protest ABVP Karyakartas also burnt an effigy of Mamta Banerjee and Shaik Shahjahan. Student’s leader Siddhanth Rai Sharma in his address mentions that “Democracy is a mockery for TMC government of West Bengal, there is an exigent need of Presidential Rule in Bengal”. Mr. sharma also marked Mamta Banerjee as Anti-Women Chief Minister of West Bengal. Student activist Mr. Ayush Raj marked that “The Unfortunate Incident of Sandeshkhali is a shame for West Bengal Government”.
Local Leaders and social activists N.K Udhaya Kumar (Ex-Chairperson, PBMC) and Er. U. Maheshwar Rao was present during the protest and address the gathering.
