It is a matter of pride that India has remained free of wild polio cases since January, 2011. India’s unprecedented progress against Polio has led to its certification as Polio Free by WHO in March, 2014 and recently we have celebrated 25th Year of ‘Pulse Polio Immunization’ in India. For protection against re-introduction of Polio virus, the National Immunization Day for Polio is being organized on 3rd March, 2024, covering all the children in the age group of 0-5 years.
I, appeal to all sections of society, especially PRI members, Non- Government Organizations and people at the grassroot level to extend their full and vigorous co-operation to make the Intensive National Immunization Day for Polio on 3rd March, 2024 a great success.
