Port Blair, Feb 28: An International Award Ceremony titled “Bongo Bhashi Samman” organised by ‘Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation’ on 24.02.2024 was held at Vishwa Yuvak Kendra, Teen Murti Marg, New Delhi.
The following members from Andaman and Nicobar Islands were awarded in the ceremony:
1. Samir Biswas (Litterateur, Teacher and Social Worker)
2. Sampad Kumar Roy (Present of BBMF A&N Islands and Social Worker)
3. Mahendranath Biswas (All India Vice President of BBMF and Social Worker)
4. Manoj Paul (IIT Engineer and Social Activist)
5. Dr. Ram Kanta Halder (Dermatologist, Medical Officer PHC Garacharma Port Blair Present of BAANI)
6. Apurba Mazumder (Sculpture Artist, Fine Art Teacher at JNV Bankura WB and a resident of Kadamtala Andaman)
In the Ceremony the foundation also felicitated Dr. Arun Mallick (Independent Public Health Consultant, Former WHO Health Cluster Coordinator).
