Port Blair, Jan 10: The MYBHARATVIKSIT BHARAT@2047, District Level Declamation Competition held at the Auditorium, Maharashtra Mandal, Port Blair, witnessed an inspiring display of oratory skills and thoughtful insights as 17 youths from various schools and colleges participated in the event. The competition, organized under the visionary initiative of Viksit Bharat@2047, aimed to engage the youth in reflecting upon the theme of “MYBHARAT Viksit Bharat@2047.”
The distinguished event had Mr. Rakesh Chander Lal, a prominent Media Personality from All India Radio, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Lal addressed the youth, emphasizing the aims of Viksit Bharat and encouraging them to contribute actively to the nation’s development.
The Special Guest for the occasion was Mr. Gorakhnath Patil, a respected senior citizen and President of Maharashtra Mandal, Port Blair. His presence added a significant touch to the event, symbolizing the importance of collaboration across generations for the progress of the nation.
A panel of three esteemed judges, including Dr. Nita Sammadder, Dr. Sunita Patil, and social worker Shabnam Singh, meticulously evaluated the participants based on set criteria. The winners emerged as follows:
1. Mr. Anshuu Debnath from Govt Model Senior Secondary School secured the first position.
2. Mr. P. Laxmi from Andaman Nicobar College secured the second position.
3. B. Somesh from ANCOL secured the third position.
4. Mr. Ayush Kumar Dubey from DIET College secured the fourth position.
The first-place winner, , will be granted a unique opportunity to represent his talent at the State Level Competitions. This recognition adds a layer of prestige to the victory, offering an even broader platform for showcasing his oratory prowess.
The competition began with a warm welcome by Mr. Gopal Ch Biswas of Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair, who also briefed the audience on the selection criteria and other parameters of the program. Mr. Biswas expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, Special Guest, judges, and participants, emphasizing the collaborative effort to make the event a success.
