Port Blair, June 05: This is for the information of the general public that the vehicle ferry MV Pilobhabi which was providing vehicle ferry service between Chatham and Bambooflat has been withdrawn from services due to urgent inescapable repair w.e.f 05.06.2023. Due to the above withdrawal, there will be only 02 vehicle ferries providing services on the above route.
All out efforts are being made by this Directorate to rectify the defects and restore normalcy at the earliest. Till such time, the commuters are requested to cooperate with this Directorate and plan their journey by availing the public transport, so as to avoid inconvenience and difficulty.
The inconvenience caused to the above is deeply regretted.
