Port Blair, Mar 19: With the support of Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, an awareness camp on Drug De- Addiction was held for NCC Cadets at JNRM Auditorium on 18 March 2023. NCC Cadets and PI Staff welcomed the Guest Speakers from DC Office Dr. Madan Kumar Mehto, Medical Officer, DC Office.
He brought out the current scenario where youth are getting hooked to the addiction of drugs and how it can impact the society. The speaker also stressed on the role of NCC cadets as present and future leaders of their generation to help curb this endemic by identifying and helping the youth who are doing substance abise. He told the Cadets how they can break the addiction chain of drugs. Lt Col Pankaj Modgil, Commanding Officer, 1 AN IndepInf Coy NCC appreciated the efforts of Deputy Commissioners Department for motivating the NCC Cadets to be a part of anti drug campaign.
