On the auspicious occasion of “Guru Nanak Birth Anniversary’, I extend my heartiest greetings and warm wishes to all residents of A & N Islands.
Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru of Sikhism was a great philosopher and social reformer. His message of love, equality, peace, compassion and brotherhood are instrumental in building of a harmonious and progressive society. Celebrated as ‘Guru Parv’ and Prakash Utsay’, this festival inspires us to imbibe the ideologies of Guru Nanak Ji.
I appeal to all Islanders to celebrate the occasion while adhering to COVID appropriate behavior.
