Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 11: Rukmani Motors on Monday unveiled the latest facelift of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza at its showroom in Sri Vijaya Puram, marking the arrival of the updated compact SUV with refreshed styling, additional safety and convenience features, and enhanced performance-oriented technology. The launch event brought together customers, automobile enthusiasts and representatives of the dealership, who witnessed the new model being introduced to the local market.
The Brezza has built a strong presence in India’s compact SUV segment since its original introduction in 2016. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sumandeep Singh of Rukmani Motors highlighted the model’s decade-long journey and said the vehicle had continued to attract customers through successive generations and updates. According to him, the Brezza has crossed a cumulative customer base of around 1.4 million, reflecting its sustained popularity in the Indian market.
The latest facelift seeks to build on that established reputation while introducing a number of new features. The updated Brezza retains its SUV character but receives design enhancements aimed at giving it a more contemporary road presence. The company described the vehicle as offering a combination of ruggedness, elegance and sophistication, allowing it to appeal to customers looking for both a practical family vehicle and a stylish urban SUV.
A major focus of the new model is safety. The latest Brezza comes with additional safety technology, including a Safe Exit Warning feature. The system is designed to alert occupants when a vehicle or other traffic is approaching from behind while a passenger or driver is preparing to open the door. The feature is intended to provide an additional layer of protection, particularly in busy parking areas and roadside situations.
The new Brezza also brings changes to its transmission and technology package. A six-speed manual transmission has been introduced, giving customers an additional transmission option while aiming to improve highway cruising and overall driving experience. The updated infotainment system has also received new functions and connectivity-oriented features, further strengthening the vehicle’s technology offering.
Performance remains another important aspect of the facelift. The company representative highlighted the vehicle’s Turbo BoosterJet technology, which is claimed to provide quicker response, stronger torque delivery and a more energetic driving experience. The emphasis on performance is intended to continue the Brezza’s established positioning as a compact SUV capable of combining everyday practicality with responsive driving characteristics.
The company also highlighted improvements relating to efficiency and convenience. The CNG version, which remains a relevant option in markets where CNG infrastructure is available, gets an idle start-stop function. While CNG availability remains limited in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the feature forms part of the broader technology package offered with the updated model.
Family-oriented practicality continues to be central to the Brezza’s appeal. The vehicle offers a spacious cabin and comfort-focused features designed for everyday family use, while the refreshed technology and safety equipment are intended to make longer journeys and urban driving more convenient.
The launch at Rukmani Motors gives customers in Sri Vijaya Puram an opportunity to experience the latest version of one of Maruti Suzuki’s established SUV nameplates. With its updated styling, additional safety equipment, new transmission option, enhanced infotainment features and performance-focused technology, the facelifted Brezza is positioned as an evolution of the model rather than a complete departure from its established identity.
The unveiling concluded with the ceremonial launch and interaction with customers and dealership representatives, formally introducing the new Brezza to the local market.
