Port Blair, Oct 14: A cleanliness drive was carried out by the member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at Senior Secondary School KishoriNagar under DiglipurTehsil. The 18 members BJYM participated in a cleanliness drive as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission and cleanliness of the school campus was done for about a week.
As part of the cleanliness drive the local youths cleaned the entire school campus and even collected bamboo and cane from the nearby jungle to construct eco friendly fencing around the school campus.
The resident of KishoriNagar hailed the efforts of the local youths associated with the BJYM Diglipur unit. Special gratitude was expressed towards the BJYM team member, who contributed their efforts in cleanliness drive also the members from PRI Mrs. AlhadiMridha and DRM Mr. Joynath. The programme was carried out under the guidance of Swatch Bharat Ambassador of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal.
