Port Blair, Oct 11: The sportswomen from these Islands brought laurels by winning gold and bronze medals in the Kayaking & Canoeing events today in the ongoing 36th National Games-2022 at Gujarat. RajinaKirowon the gold medal in the 500 mtrs Kayaking-1event while Sandhya Kispota and RajinaKiro won bronze medals in the 500 mtrs Kayaking-2.
With 2 gold, 5 silver and 4 bronze medals, the A&N Island contingent has so far secured 11 medals in the game. The National Games, comprises various disciplines in which athletes fromdifferent states of India participate against each other started on Sept. 29, will conclude on October 12.
