Port Blair, Jul 26: As a part of the 73rd Van Mahotsav celebration 2022 the Middle Andaman Forest Division organized a Mini Marathon under the theme RUN FOR BETTER TOMORROW “Save Forest, Save Planet Earth” on 26th July 2022. The Marathon was flagged off by Mr. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman from the Forest Check Post Rangat to Divisional Forest Office, Middle Andaman Hawamahal, via Forest central nursery Parnashala covering a distance of 07Kms.
About 76 participants including all the local officers and staff, general public, and school students participated in the Mini Marathon with a lot of enthusiasm. In the male category, Mr. Yash Kumar Kerketta won the Gold Medal, Mr. Suresh Halder won the Silver Medal and Mr. SwethMajhi won the Bronze Medal. Similarly in the female category, Mrs. Mahima Bai won the Gold Medal, Mrs. Anamika Toppo won the Silver Medal and Mr. Kiran Barla won the Bronze Medal.
Further Mr. Satyaprakash Singh, IFS, Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman also awarded the certificate of participation to all the participants who participated in the Mini Marathon.
