Port Blair, May 10: ANTCC organized a rally “Raj Niwas Chalo” on 10th May 2022 from the ANTCC party office Gandhi Bhawan.
The motive of the rally was to present a Memorandum to the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands regarding three major issues, i.e., 100% Job Reservation for the Islanders; Filling up of 10,000 vacant posts in the A&N Administration and Age relaxation for the Islanders for 5 years.
The rally was stopped by the A&N Police near Aberdeen Police Station and was not allowed to move forward. After the Protest for more than one and half hours the Congress workers disbursed. Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC promised that the protest will continue until the Lt. Governor receives the Memorandum. He also announced the “Chakka Jaam” on 17th May 2022 at Ferrargunj Junction where the same charter of demands will be raised.
The protest concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC President, who thanked all the party workers, frontal leaders and senior leaders for participating in the Rally.
