Port Blair, Apr 08: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP and Former State President, BJP, A&N Islands met Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, Secretary-RD, PRIs & ULBs on 08th April 2022 and raised the issue of difficulties being faced by the restored Panchayat Samitis.
He pointed out that after the restoration of the middle tyre of Panchayati Raj Institution by the Central Government, the offices together with other infrastructures, funds and logistics for Panchayat Samitis have not yet been handed over to the newly constituted Samitis. Due to this, the developmental projects coming within the purview of Panchayat Samitis have not yet commenced.
Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, Secretary-RD, PRIs & ULBs gave a patient hearing and assured that all efforts would be taken to ensure that all required arrangements are made at the earliest and the Panchayat Samitis starts functioning in its complete shape sooner.
