Port Blair, Mar 28: A 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling at his residence in Bambooflat on Sunday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Mr. Rohit Soreng, a 30-years-old resident of Anna Nagar, Hopetown, working as DRM in NSRY. The incident took place yesterday evening at around 08:30 PM when the family members of the deceased found him hanged in his bedroom, after which immediately PS Bambooflat was informed. Later Bambooflat police team shifted the body to PHC Bambooflat for postmortem.
