Port Blair, Jan 30: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) has paid homage to the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary and recalled his enormous contributions and sacrifices to the nation. The party hailed the sacrifices & leading role of Mahatma Gandhi in the freedom movement.
On the occasion, ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder laid emphasis over adopting the Gandhian Philosophy of non-violence, which is the need of time, as there is no tolerance under BJP rule at Centre, which is responsible for the restlessness among the people across the country, which has to be defeated in the larger interest of secular India, that would be the true message of death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The ANTCC has decided not to organise “Shradhanjali Sabhas” for observing the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at it’s party offices, owing to the surge of COVID-19 cases in the Islands.
