Port Blair, Dec 30: The Port Blair Municipal Council during the Swachhata Samaroh on 19.12.2021 has announced for the Green Star Rating Hotel Competition conducted in association with ANPCC & GIZ-India, Port Blair.
This is the unique way of the contest in which the whole competition is divided into 06 major sectors viz., General information, Solid waste management, Liquid waste (sewage, sullage&septage)management, emission mitigation measures, Expenditures & Public awareness. Special focus is given to the reduction of single-use plastics, waste reduction measures and access to toilets for ladies and children, etc.
Special request has been made to all the Hotels, resorts, guesthouses for participation. The competition is for 100points, total 61 questions need to be answered. The Hotels who obtain >90 Points will be given 05Green start rating, 70-89 Points 04Green green starts, 50-69 Points- 03Green starts- 40-49 Points 02Green starts & 30-39 Points- 01Green star will be awarded.
The competition will be evaluated by the Technical evaluation committee of PBMC, ANPCC & GIZ-India, Port Blair. The interested Hotels may apply on or before 12th January, 2022 and the results will be announced on 28.01.2022 during the function.
