Port Blair, Nov 11: Mini and weak Tornado has been reported from the Ross Island area this morning. According to reports the Tornado developed a visible but thin funnel, which touched the sea. Although the formation was noticed only for a while but that was enough to scare away people. Although many awestruck Islanders, present at Aberdeen jetty, Foreshore Road, Bambooflat Jetty and even in Vehicle Ferry vessels, clicked pictures, which are now doing rounds in Social Networking Sites.
Mini Tornadoes are not a new thing for A & N Islands. According to sources in DSS, such mini Tornadoes are often seen in high sea.
