Port Blair, Nov 14: On the occasion of Children’s Day, the District Child Protection Unit Under District Administration in collaboration with India Reserve Battalion organised an Excursion trip for the children of Child Care Institutions to the Campus of IRBn at Port Mount. On this occasion of Children’s Day Mr. Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Additional District Magistrate, South Andaman greeted all the children and wished them a bright future.
During this trip, children were briefed about the duties and responsibilities as well as functions of India Reserve Battalion and the Role of Civil Police in the Society. The officials of the India Reserve Battalion presented a demo on the activities and also an exhibition of weapons for the children was also arranged. The children were also motivated to opt the profession as career.
The program culminated with a cultural program followed by lunch.
The ADM, South Andaman, along with Mr. DilkushMeena, IAS, SDM South Andaman,Ms. Yashaswini B., Assistant Commissioner(UT)and Mr. J Senthil, Assistant Commandant were the distinguished guest present to grace the occasion.
The District Administration always ensures to organize such special events for the children of CCI in order to bring a smile on their face.
