Port Blair, Nov 05: On the night of 31/10/21, three burglaries happened in Garacharma and mobile phone worth Rs.15000/-, cash worth Rs.17,000/- and Rs.50,000/- were stolen.
Upon receipt of complaint from Sh. Chandan Kumar Bepari S/o Sh. Purna Bepari (39)yrs Pvt Carpenter R/o Garacharma, Sh. Rahul Bissu S/o Ramesh Gandhi (27)yrs R/o Garacharma and Smti. Shila Karmakar W/o Sh. Narayan Karmakar (39)yrs Housewife R/o Garacharma (II), regarding theft of Rs. 17000/-, Rs. 50000/- and Mobile phone worth Rs. 15000/- respectively, three FIRs vide FIR No. 103/21 dtd 01/11/2021 U/s 454/380 IPC, FIR No. 104/21 dtd 01/11/2021 U/s 454/380 IPC & FIR No. 105/21 dtd 01/11/2021 U/s 454/380 IPC were registered at PS Pahargaon.
Acting swiftly upon the complaints, immediately a special team comprising of SI Mohd. Rahil Islam, SI Samiran Mridha, SI Manish Narayan, ASI Tarak Nath, HC/ A Raja, PC/ Santosh Kumar Yadav, PC/ Jagdish Babu and PC/ Sudeep Kumar was constituted for search and arrest of the unknown accused person. All efforts including local intelligence and technical surveillance in the form of CCTV footages were analysed to identify the accused person.Later, the accused person involved in all the three cases were found to be the same person. Within 24 Hrs of the incident, the accused person namely Biplob Biswas S/o Gopal Biswas (22)Yrs, Pvt Painter, R/o Garacharama, Murdha Khari was nabbed from Garacharma near Murdakhari and the stolen properties were recovered from his possession. Further investigation of the casesis in progress.
