Port Blair, Nov 03: Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee member BJP, Member of Home Ministry Advisory Committee, Govt. of India & Former State President BJP demanded increase the number of reserved seats for aspiring eligible candidates sponsored by A & N Administration for B.Tech (Naval Architecture& Ocean Engineering), in Indian Maritime University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. In his letter addressed to the Union Minister of Port, Shipping and Waterways Government of India Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal, Mr. Jolly mentioned that that the students/aspiring candidates hailing from Andaman & Nicobar Islands does not have any dedicated Maritime College or Institution to undergo the course of B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) in A & N Islands. As such two seats of B.Tech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering), is kept reserved every year for aspiring eligible meritorious candidates sponsored by A & N Administration, in the Indian Maritime University, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Further he mentioned that the students/candidates of A & N Islands have a strong potential to undertake & explore their career in the subject of Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering in best possible ways. But, it is sad to know that only two seats are reserved for the aspiring eligible candidates of A & N Islands.
Mr. Jolly requested to increase the number of seats from two (02) seats to at least four (04) seats for aspiring eligible candidates of A & N Islands, to be sponsored by A & N Administration, in the larger interest of our candidates.
