Port Blair, Oct 31: After a long wait for several years, finally residents of Baratang have been witnessed black top surface laying works of Andaman Trunk Road, in their area since yesterday.
For nearly last two years people of Baratang and ATR commuters only witnessed earth dumping works on road surface, which used to become death trap after heavy rain.
As per sources finally since yesterday the black top surface laying works was started by NH4 contractor.
Once the top layer on the entire stretch of ATR in Baratang Island from Nilambur to Gandhi Ghat Jetty is laid, it will bring huge relief for people of Baratang and ATR commuters.
