Port Blair, Oct 26: An awareness generation program on “Menstrual Hygiene” was conducted by PBMC for women SHGs formed under DAY-NULM at Dr.BR Ambedkar Auditorium on 26th October,2021 in collaboration with ANIIMS, Port Blair.
The inauguration session was addressed by Joint Secretary, PBMC Mr. Anand Vardhan Mishra, DANICS. Mr. Muthu Kumar, Project Officer, PBMC welcomed the gathering. Dr Amrita Burma, MD, Community Medicine, and expert in the concerned subject, highlighted the various aspects and issues related to Menstrual Hygiene. The programme was received with enthusiasm by the attendees and many quarries and doubts were cleared
The program witnessed huge response from members belonging to different SHGs within municipal area and on this occasion, memento to the expert from ANIIMS was presented by Joint Secretary, PBMC as a token of appreciation.
The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Ms. Sweta Burma, City Mission Manager (Skill & Livelihoods), City Mission Management Unit, DAY-NULM, PBMC.
