Port Blair, Sept 17: The Andaman & Nicobar UT Commission for Protection of Child Rights is functioning in these islands with mandate to safeguard Child Rights and to take up programs for disseminating information on child rights and their protections.
On receipt of the information over Phone by some parents of school going children on non-availability of bus services in some places of Port Blair area as their children are facing difficulties at the time of school Smt. Sampa Banerjee, Member UTCPCR personally met the Director of Transport, Andaman & Nicobar Administration and discussed regarding transportation facility provided by the department to the school going children and asked to provide sufficient transportation facility to the students and also Informed that the students of various places are facing lot of difficulties due to non availability sufficient bus service such as Dollygunj& Attam Pahar area after re-opening of the schools.
The Director Transport has given assurance to Smt. Sampa Banerjee that he will be provided sufficient transport facility to the students in all places of Port Blair area.
