Port Blair, Aug 31: Group Commander Madras Group ‘A’ NCC, Col Jarnail Singh inspected both the AN Units i.e. 1 (AN) NUNCC and 1 (AN) Indep Inf Coy during Annual Inspection of these Units in the islands. He appreciated high standard of drill of NCC Cadets and numerous NCC activities carried out during COVID 19. He carried out on site visit of all training areas.
He was apprised of constraints in these islands by Capt V K Trivedi, CO 1 (AN) Naval Unit NCC and Col A Vivekananda, CO 1 (AN) Indep Inf Coy NCC. Both Commanding Officers also briefed him on various innovative ways in which NCC training has been continued in the remote Islands during ongoing COVID 19 pandemic.
Group Commander assured both the NCC Units of all the support from Group HQ Madras ‘A’ NCC for training NCC Cadets in these Islands. He departed from these Islands on 31st Aug 21.
