Port Blair, Aug 16: The Swarnim Vijay Varsh Victory Flame reached Car Nicobar on 16th August 2021. The Victory Flame along with the contingent was received with huge enthusiasm by Group Captain Rajesh Varma, VSM, Station Commander Air Force Station Carnicobar and Mr Yash Chaudhary, IAS, District Commissioner, Car Nicobar. A ceremonial Guard of Honour by an Air Force Contingent was accorded to welcome the Flame and was witnessed by various officials of Air Force and Civil Administration. Thereafter, the Victory Flame was escorted by a team of cyclists to Air Force Station Car Nicobar. The Victory Flame convoy halted at Civil Tsunami Memorial to pay homage to the victims of the Tsunami tragedy. The Flame was greeted with respect and enthusiasm by the local citizens who had gathered enroute.
