Port Blair, Aug 12: On 12 Aug 21, as part of its journey within Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the pious Victory Flame reached Indian Coast Guard Station (ICGS), Hut Bay. The Flame was ceremoniously received by Commandant D P Yadav, Commanding Officer, ICGS Hut Bay, in the presence of Shri S. Joseph, Tehsildar, Little Andaman, Shri Murthy, DFO and Station House Officer, Hut Bay. The solemn and grand ceremony at ICGS Hut Bay was also witnessed by various dignitaries of Hut Bay region, serving personnel of Coast Guard, Little Andaman police personnel and school children with enthusiasm and zest. Swarnim Vijay Varsh team consisted of 27 personnel including 06 Officers of Joint-Services. Team Leader Squadron Leader Ghanshyam enlightened the gathering about the purpose and sprit of Swarnim Vijay Varsh Victory Flame.
Post ceremony, the Victory Flame was handed back to Swarnim Vijay Varsh Team for journey back to Port Blair. All COVID-19 protocol measures were followed by the personnel present at the event.
