Port Blair, Aug 01: Mr. Paritosh Halder, Ex-Member, A & N Pradesh Council has urged the Andaman and Nicobar Administration to reopen tourism in Andaman by following all the corona protocols. “Authorities may apply new required health protocol for safe travel. This is the only way out to save the young particularly those who are associated with this new self employment venture,” he mentioned in his release.
He added that Tourism is the only job oriented prospective sector of this Island Territory, and a well plan is required for its promotion.
The tourist infrastructures like Hotels, restaurants, tourist boats, buses, cars, jeeps etc have already been established through bank loans. It is true that the barrowers are not in a position to pay the interest even in the present crisis. They themselves are hand to mouths.
The Bank money in corers has already been invested in this sector, and at present the output i.e. income is nil. Even then, the banks are pressing hard on barrowers. It is very sorry to communicate that many of the tourist’s vehicles, boats, even Hotels etc have already been sold on abnormally low prices, and repaid a part of their loan deuces.
The newly established tourism Industries is under threat, the youths are frustrated, and this is the time to save them and or say save the tourist Industries.
Many unemployed youths are associated with this new tourists venture and its allied services. At present, they are in hot soup, and are in need to be helped at this stage, failing which they will be nipped in bud.
