Port Blair, June 24: The President of Bongo Bhashi Mahasabha Foundation, A & N Islands, Mr Sampad Kumar Roy has expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman for introducing STS bus service from Uttara Jetty in Kadamtala to Rangat in Middle Andaman. The service that will benefit scores of villagers in the region started on Wednesday.
“The bus service between Uttara and Rangat was a long pending demand of villagers here. The matter was placed before the Deputy Commissioner, who after due consideration, introduced the service. The initiative will benefit not only villagers but also government employees posted in Middle Andaman. BBMF also thanks the Assistant Commissioner of Rangat and the Assistant Engineer of Transport Department for their efforts in launching the service,” said Mr Sampad Kumar Roy, BBMF President.
