Port Blair, Oct 28: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to transform the Diglipur Health Centre into a well equipped health centre for the welfare of the local inhabitants.
In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, Mr Sharma appraised him about the lack of necessary infrastructures in the Diglipur Health Centre. “A large number of Bengali settlers and other communities are staying at Diglipur but as per reports received from the area, the Health Centre is lacking necessary infrastructures to run its day to day activities,” Mr. Sharma informed the Chief Secretary.
Further Mr Sharma demanded the CS for installation of telemedicine centre, a well equipped Ultra sound for diagnosis of various diseases, an incubator for new born babies and their mother, a separate room for Ayurvedic Treatment in the Centre and posting X-ray technicians.
Further Mr Sharma also demanded similar facilities for all the health centres in AN Islands and requested him to send a team to every such centres to study the urgent requirements in those centres.
