Port Blair, Apr 19: Citizens of Little Andaman are facing huge crises of LPG Cylinders and demanded supply of LPG cylinders at the earliest. When Andaman Sheekha contacted Mr. Siddiqui Secretary of CCS he said that on 16 April 2021 around 2370 domestic and 50 Commercial LPG cylinders have been sent to Little Andaman by a Cargo Vessel Malar, which reached Hut Bay today.
“We are not getting any Cargo Vessels for Transportation of Cylinders, which caused Shortage and earlier on 9 April 2021 also 1600 cylinder were sent to Little Andaman but it was not sufficient” he added.
He also mentioned that for Little Andaman per month requirement was near about 3000 cylinders.
Meanwhile, People of Chouldary area also demanded LGP Cylinder from the last two months which had been not supplied. Distributor of Cylinder in Chouldary said that “There is a shortage of Cylinder in IOCL due to late arrival of Tanker because of that we are not able to deliver Cylinder on time buy next two to three days LPG cylinder will be distributed in Chouldary and nearby areas,” he assured.
