Port Blair, Apr 13: A staff of Electricity Department, posted in Dollygunj site office today suffered electrocution.
As per details, the person namely Mr. Vijay Narayan, 50 years, a resident of Dollygunj had gone to attend an electric pole complaint near a Temple of Shiv Colony at around 10.45 AM. As per eye witnesses he climbed up a ladder to check electric lines but somehow he came in contact with High Tension Line and suffered electrocution.
Mr. Vijay Narayan fell like a rock and got his left hand fractured and severe burn injuries in both the hands.
He was immediately rushed to G B Pant Hospital by other staffs and admitted in Burns Ward. Further details are awaited.
