Port Blair, Mar 12: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Superintending Engineer, Electricity department. A&N Administration to explore the feasibility for laying overhead electrical line with new poles at Nayashaher, Tsunami Shelter area, Guptapara Gram Panchayat since the underground electric line laid by the department years ago are damaged and due to which, power supply to these area is interrupting regularly and the villagers particularly students are facing grate difficulties for attending one line classes, e-services and other domestic works etc owing to power disruption.
Besides this, the Member of Parliament also requested the Executive Engineer, PHED, APWD, Prothrapur to lay new water pipe line at Nayashaher Tsunami Shelter area, Guptapara Panchayat as the villagers are not getting drinking water properly and facing water crisis due to damage of existing pipelines at many places.
