Port Blair, Mar 09: Navodhaya Foundation organised Women Achievers Award on the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day at NK Heritage MNR Resort. The event was to felicitate women from different aspect of our society. Women from the field of Sports, Health, Revenue, Sanitary staff, Tourism, Education, Police, Tribals to Entrepreneurs.
The event was beautifully hosted by Smti Hema Sharma, and supported by Smti Puja Mishra Dutta, being women they both sets an example for many other women to how to live independently and to take responsibilities in the society. The event was enthralled by a puppet show from a renowned artist of Andaman Miss Priyanka Talukdar. Awardees also took the opportunity to share their story and advised everyone to maintain a healthy family life.
The felicitation programe ended when the work done by Navodhaya Foundation was featured in a video and was praised by all the guests. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Shaikat Buswas of Navodhaya Foundation.
