Port Blair, Oct 18: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Chatham Saw Mill, Port Blair on 18th Oct, 2012. Altogether 30 officials and mill workers were present in the Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in which eleven people donated blood voluntary.
The camp was inaugurated by Shri. M. Raj Kumar, IFS, DCF of Chatham Saw mill by donating one unit of blood and said “Every year we organise blood donation camps in our premises with support of A & N AIDS Control Society. It is for a very good cause and we are very proud to donate blood. It saves so many people’s life and all of us are proud to be part of this blood donation camp. Hope, it continues every year so that we can save many more lives.”
The camp was conducted under the supervision and leadership of Shri. Rakesh Bali, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society.
The camp was facilitated by Dr. Navin Govind, Deputy Director (Blood Safety), ANACS. Donor certificate and a Batch was also distributed to all voluntary donors which has a message “I donated Blood Today, It was very easy” by the hand of Principal and college faculties.
