
Port Blair, Feb 24: All Eighty five Senior Division/Wing Naval NCC cadets participated in DK whaler Boat Pulling and Sail Rigging competition as part of their training during the third day of ongoing Annual Training Camp 2020-21. Cadets were briefed about the technical aspects of boat pulling, handling and Sail rigging of whaler boat by PI Staff. The cadets were also trained in Naval Semaphore signals as an important means of communication between ships and boats. Zeal of cadets was apparent during Tug of War competition between Boys and Girl Naval cadets. Camp Commandant, Captain VK Trivedi distributed Prizes and Medals to the meritorious student and Camp completion Certificates to ‘B’ Certificate Naval cadets. Additionally, he distributed NCC Unit Cap and COVID 19 face shields to all the cadets in the Camp. ANO/Care takers proactively participated in the above waterman ship activities. With this ATC 2020-21 is completed for B certificate Naval Cadets. Senior Division/Wing ‘C’ certificate Senior cadets will continue with the training in Naval specialist subjects such as Anchor work, Ship navigation and Seamanship in the Camp to fulfill the ‘C’ Certificate Exam criteria.
