Port Blair, Feb 07: Bringing huge relief for people of Webi area of Middle Andaman the contractor of NHIDCL has now started spraying water over ATR stretches, which are under construction to reduce dust pollution.
Earlier people of Webi Village had complained that due to ongoing NH4 upgradation works, people of the area are facing huge inconvenience due to dust pollution. They alleged that massive cloud of dust in the region was making life difficult for people, especially children.
When the matter was taken with the Deputy Commissioner of North and Middle Andaman, Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan, she immediately directed the NHIDCL officials to resolve the issue on priority basis.
Taking note the NHIDCL authority (Mayabunder) immediately instructed the NH4 contractor to take necessary steps.
Finally the contractors of NH4 have now started to spray water over under-constructed road of the region. Public of Webi village have expressed their gratitude towards DC North and Middle Andaman and NHIDCL.
