Port Blair, Dec. 29: A three months training programme for providing employment oriented training and skill development (Second Phase) will be organised by District Administration and NHIDCL in partnership with Construction Industry Development Council in Mayabunder from the first week of January, 2021. The course will help local youths to gain meaningful employment. It will also help in upliftment of their social and economic status and getting better career perspectives.
It will comprise of class room lectures and practical training of Trade works like Mason, carpenter, plumber, welder, bar bender, electrician etc. along with General Work Supervisor, Surveyor, Store Keeper and Safety Inspector. Every trainee will be paid a stipend of Rs. 15,000/- per month for three months programme based on CIDC certification and attendance records. Each batch will consist of 30 trainees.
