Port Blair, Dec 21: Keeping in view of the present security scenario and emerging threats to Civil Aviation, Security around the globe, CISF Unit VSI Airport Port Blair conducted a multi agency mock exercise on the scenario Armed Attack at Airport on its facilities and persons.
The exercise was led by Asstt Cmdt/OPS Sh. Suresh Kumaar, under the overall supervision of Dy. Commandant Sh. V B Dewangan with active Participation of teams from Indian Army, Indian Navy, (A&N) Police, AAI, Airlines, Coast Guard, (A & N) Fire and Medical Services etc. The whole idea behind the exercise was to assess and fine tune the level of coordination between multiple agencies involved in anti-terror operations, and ensure high level of operational preparedness.
