Port Blair, Dec 10: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that fairly widespread to widespread rain or thundershowers may come back to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and isolated rain or thundershowers to Tamil Nadu, South Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Maharashtra from December 15.
This could on the one hand signal the likely arrival of an easterly wave across the Bay of Bengal and a revival of the North-East monsoon over the South Peninsula and, on the other, interactive rain and associated weather as the easterlies run into north-westerly flows associated with western disturbances.
