Port Blair, Nov 20: The 67th All India Cooperative Week Celebration was concluded on 20th Nov, 2020 at A & N State Cooperative Union by Mr. V. Mashar, General Manager, NABARD, Regional Office, Port Blair as the Chief Guest in presence of Representatives of various Apex Level Cooperatives, Govt. officials, PRI members and a large gathering of Cooperators.
At the outset, Smti. Nandini, Faculty Member, RGCTC welcomed the Chief Guest and other delegate to the 67th All India Coop. Week Celebration 2020. She further informed the gathering that the main theme of Cooperative “Covid Pandemic- Atmanirbhar Bharat –Cooperatives” and addressing the gathering on day’s topic “Financial Inclusion, Digitalization and social Media through Cooperatives”.
Smti. Elizebth Marry, In-charge WDC, A& N State Cooperative Bank Ltd has informed the financial services are important for inclusive growth. A&N State Cooperative Bank Ltd are playing a major role in inclusive growth by providing financial services to the under privileged section of the society like farmers, rural and artisans etc.

He further highlighted the Main Theme “Covid Pandemic- Atmanirbhar Bharat –Cooperatives” and addressing the gathering on day’s topic “Financial Inclusion, Digitalization and social Media through Cooperatives”. He informed that the Govt of India is committed to provide computerisation/digitalization of (PACS), the bottom tier of Short term credit Structure. He further cited the example of A & N State Coop. Bank Ltd, for being in core banking solutions for its customers and the General Public. for Debit Card Holders, Cash Deposit Machine, IMPS, RTGS, PoS Machine, Rupay KCC, Mobile Demo Van and conducted various Training Programme like MEDP, Financial Literacy Through Digital Banking, etc. He further informed that NABARD, Regional Office, Port Blair provides assistance to the A & N State Cooperative Union for the development of floriculture at the premises of the Union.
Mr. M. Veeranna, Director, A&N State Cooperative Union has highlighted vision of the A&N State Cooperative Union.
Mr. Anant Rao, Vice Chairman, A&N State Cooperative Union also spoke on the topic financial inclusion, Digitalization and social Media through Cooperatives. He appreciated the effort made by A&N State Cooperative Union for conducting weeklong programme.
